Tool Daily® replacement thermal relief valves protect pressure washer pump working in a safe temperature range to prevent overheating. When water temperature reaches above 145º F, pump seals may fail. The thermal relief valve will open to release hot water and allow cold water to enter the pump. make sure the pump continues to run at a safe temperature. If the pump were ever overheated, the thermal relief valve must be replaced.
